SOLD Something rarely seen is this cased 1851 Navy .44 cal. set with a very fine polished blue finish, and the right side of the barrel stamped :JOHN WESLEY HARDIN "LITTLE ARKANSAS" and underneath G.Llipietta -Made in Italy. the top of the barrel is stamped "LIMITED EDITION 1 OF 1000. Lock up is tight, nipples look like new, no evidence of being fired, with a mint bore on the 7 1/2" barrel.The grips look like black ebony but may be an unknown material. Comes with a walnut case , brass powder flask, tin of caps, and a nipple wrench. Never seen this set-up before and John Wesley Hardin was know as the Wild West killer of his day gunnong down about 40 men in his life. Hislife ended in ElPaso Tx, by the buller of an off duty policeman!When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
