Description:
Here is a Royal Small Arms Factory, or later associated as Royal Ordnance Factories, SMLE No1Mk3, in 303 British. This rifle has an interesting service life. It appears to have been converted from a "Long Lee" to an SMLE. It also has Iraqi markings on the reciever. The book "The Lee-Enfield" by Ian Skennerton is a good reference to decode many of the markings. There is a discreet import mark on the left of the receiver. .303 British
