Description:
Rare Winchester 1886 carbine out of Gene Autrys collection. It letters with set trigger and sporting sights. It has a 20" barrel. But I can't remember if it letters with it or not. I've had some 20" carbines that letter. But most of the time they dont.
Ive got the letter just didn't take the time to dig it out. Jim Autry is who the letter is made out to. I traded him one of his uncle Genes Colt saa 2nd gens for it.
It's in very good condition. Couple splinter out of wood and small crack at end of forearm.
bore is about 5 or 6. Pretty typical of a black powder bore.
This is a great investment piece. Not 100% sure I should sell it here. Be better to go to a big house. But then they take 30%
That sticks in my craw.
I think Jim had $9500 on this I might be selling too cheap ??
