Payment Types Accepted: Description: On Hold Sale Pending Civil war 1862 dated Tower/Enfield percussion musket approximately 58 caliber. The dark 3 band uncleaned wood stock is in good condition showing numerous dents and much use, including burnout behind the nipple, but no visible markings. The full 39" barrel has proof marks with 25 between, both front and buckhorn type rear sight. The barrel and lock are a uncleaned dark brown color with pitting. The trigger gaurd and but plate are brass and have a dark brown almost black patina. The functioning lock is Marked 1862 over Tower with the crown only, no VR which I understand can indicate Confederate use age. A much used Civil War musket which is missing the front/top swivel.
