On Hold Sale Pending I believe this to be a 1850s Civil war era Austrian percussion approximately 70 caliber musket in wall hanger condition. The dark wood stock is good but has had about a foot of the forearm replaced (see photos). The full length barrel has a flip up rear sight a post front sight and a bayonet lug near the muzzle.. The lock and barrel are dark brown with pitting. The lock does function but strikes the nipple alittle off (see photos). The trigger gaurd and but plate are brass with a brown patina. The buttplate has numerous unit markings. The breach area/tang have been welded (see photos). A cheap civil war era gun that would make a good wall hanger or parts gun (only).
