CIVIL WAR ERA OFFICER'S BINOCULARS (FIELD GLASSES) BY LUMIERE OF PARIS IN ORIGINAL CASE. Original case with owners initials embossed on lid. Lined with purple baize. Leather outer shell splitting at one edge. "E.J.E." embossed in silver on lid. Good optics and focus capability but needs a bit of lube. Not sure what type to use so I've left it alone. Each eye piece has "Lumiere/ Paris" around circumference. Brass housing with glove leather cover original and just slightly receding from age. Make a nice addition to a display or collection.
