Description:
This is a very handsome and well-made vintage revolver in 8mm French Ordnance caliber manufactured by the J. Pire & Co. firm in Antwerp, Belgium. This little DA/SA revolver is in 100% original condition with all of the original finishes intact. The original case colors on the frame still show a lot of color on the sides and in the protected areas. The original gloss blue on the cylinder and barrel is in very good condition with only minor high edge wear and a few tiny handling marks. All of the markings and proofs on the revolver are fully intact and 100% legible. Of particular note is the model name "Trajector" which is inlaid gold on the top of the barrel. Both grip panels are a perfect match to each other and fit the gun perfectly and both sides are tight to the frame with no wiggle. The extra-fine checkering is still in good condition on both grip panels with only some minor marring. The action is "in time" and all of the controls are in perfect working order. The bore is in excellent condition with sharp rifling and a mirror-like shine. The 6 chambers of the cylinder are equally as clean and free from defects. The lanyard loop is missing from the butt of the gun but the mounting stud is still in-place. This is a very fine-looking little mid-sized revolver that would be a great addition to any antique and vintage revolver collection.
