Thanks, Mark Description: Revised price on this item $250.00 plus shipping with tracking. Not sure what company made this award, not marked in any way.. The Godet firm was sold to another jewelry manufacturer in about 1930. Evidence shows they, and other manufactures, continued to use available stocks of materials in inventory and augmented supplies as necessary with newly made elements. Manufacturing techniques changed for this cross during the 1920s and after, due to financial and other considerations from what I have found in my research, to using a bronze die stamped core that was hand finished before being gilded then enameled...I have owned other similar examples. This particular Award has a quality silk ribbon with the cotton ties machine sewn on, see pictures for detail. A well made piece circa 1930s-1940s with a lot of hand work and good detail. Unmarked. $250.00 plus $15.00 for shipping in the continental U.S. International shipping and or insurance available, send address for that charge. Questions, pictures contact me. Thanks, Mark SOLD |
