NY Militia-Issued Remington Rolling Block Rifle with bayonet, cal.50-70 Gov. Overall very good condition typical of militia-issued guns, not shot very much, VG+bore and excellent mechanics, stock is solid but well used with numerous handling dents and dings. Arsenal numbers on buttstock and forearm, 3 distinct cartouches on buttstock. S and P proofs on barrel, B proof on receiver and all 3 barrel rings and Remington address on tang. Action is silvered and original bright finish to the rest of the metal shows an aged patina but no rust. The rolling-block action is tight with the extra-large hammer spur and auto safety feature on loading. All original as issued. Antique, $45 shipping
