First of all, let me say something about the title. I've seen and owned a number of these fine Webley & Scott guns in all gauges and several models, and this is far and away the finest boxlock small bore Webley & Scott I've seen. This gun is a 16 gauge with 28 inch barrels. Features a straight, English grip, splinter forend, and double triggers. The chambers are 2 3/4 inches and it is proofed for 1 1/8 ounce of shot. Both bores measure .673 exactly and the right barrel has .012 of choke for a nice improved cylinder and the left barrel has .024 constriction giving you a tight modified. This is a great upland combination. Stock dimensions are 1-3/8 X 2 X 14-9/16 over the nicely checkered butt with neutral cast. When you first see this gun the wood obviously grabs your attention with this beautiful piece of marble cake English Walnut, the fine checkering, the hand rubbed oil finish, and the nicely done drop points and vacant initial shield. But then you look at the engraving and you really see the quality of workmanship that went into this gun. This engraving is special. I've examined it and it is beautifully executed! The scroll work is tight and fine with almost 100% coverage. I think the pictures will show everything you need to see on this one. The condition is excellent plus with only a few light marks on the stock and slight bluing wear on the trigger guard. The solid concave rib is engraved with Webley & Scott Ltd. Established 1790 Birmingham. Weight of this fine piece is a light 5 pounds 15 ounces. This gun locks up like a vault, barrels ring beautifully, and balance is perfect. Price of the gun is $6800 plus $75 shipping to your FFL. As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period with the buyer paying shipping charges if returned.
