Description:
Springfield model 1855 percussion musket in very good plus Cond. All medal parts are smooth with a lot of original finish and no pitting except in bolster area. Sharp lock plate and primer door markings with 1859 date with the much desired patchbox in the stock. Rifled bore is good but needs cleaned. Strong main spring with half and full cock. Maynard primer is in working order. Stock is very good dark tone wood that has not been sanded but no visible cartooche. A sharp looking 1855 at a good price.
