Ramrod is old and probably used with this gun. The wood has burnout behind the nipple and pieces of wood missing around the tang. The gun works only when fully cocked as it's missing the sear spring easily available from the Rifle Shoppe. Missing sling swivels and the mount on front band. Very small US stamped on top of buttplate. This is a charistic of an early Mexican war made rifle and popular with troops in the Civil War. The stock has two nice cartouches. Priced right. Add $40 for UPS ground shipping. The sunken P and the inspectors initials are visible and the P is partially visible due to the stamping. SOLD |
