19th Century Youth Size Musket for Training
Here we present an antique Belgian Cadet Percussion Musket, made in the mid-19th Century in Liege, Belgium. This would have been a miniature weapon made for the purpose of training boys or youth. This is a light and relatively small longarm with a barrel of only 30-1/4 inches. Just the thing for drilling and even target practice!
The overall condition is good. The action remains strong. The bore is dim and smooth. The stock is smooth and solid. There is a split just ahead of the butt plate tang, along the top of the comb that we believe is due to the type of wood and not being seasoned before this gun was built.
