Description:
Marlin Model 1889 Lever Action Rifle in .38-40. SN #37849. This Early Model 1889 was mfg. in 1890. LOP 12 7/8". 24" Octagon Barrel with a VERY GOOD Bore for it's age. Frosted with light pitting and clear rifling. Both the Blued / Case Colored Metal and Straight Walnut Stock and Forend have been FULLY RESTORED by SHOOTER'S EXCHANGE. The Forend looks to have been changed at some point in the past. Old stock repair near upper tang looks sound. Case Colored Hammer, Lever, Bolt and Crescent Buttplate. Full Tube Magazine has a very slight ding in it that's shown in the photos. Side Eject. Tang is tapped for a Tang Sight. Short throw lever. Smooth Action. Model made from 1889-1899. Weight: 7.05 lbs.
