Description:
Remington model 725 in the hard to find 222 Remington caliber. Built in 1961, this rifle is in mint all original condition. It retains 100% of the original blue and wood finish. The stock is an unusual light honey colored blonde wood but is completely original. The rifle is factory drilled and tapped but has never had a scope on it. The bore is mint with sharp rifling and shows no wear. The stock retains the original aluminum buttplate. All screws and roll stamps are sharp and crisp.The 222 Rem caliber was only offered in the 725 for the last 2 years of production and is very hard to find in a rifle of this condition. The 725 was brought out to compete with the Winchester model 70 featherweight rifles. It was built from 1958 through 1961 and was dropped due to high production cost and replaced by the 700 line. It features hand cut checkering,a drop floorplate,factory open sights,and a lever safety. This is a collector condition rifle in a scarce caliber.C&R eligible.
