Description:
Truely a one of a kind consecitive numbered pair of US Springfiled M1-C Sniper rifles. M1-Cs are rare, finding one that went through the SA-52 Rebuild program is harder yet never mind one that after the SA-52 rebuild then was issued to the U.S. Marines. The marines overhualed it in 1965 hence the O-65 over top of the SA-52. These are a special pair of rifles that a true m1 garand collector can apprecite and be proud of. They have been in my posion for many years. Time to pass them on to the next caretaker.
Leave them as safe queens or bring them to Camp Perry or your local club to shoot a vintage sniper match.  Both have great shooter barrels.  The darker rifle's barrel TE is 2.5 it's MW is less than 1, SA 1952 dated barrel , same barrel that it left the CMP with. The cheekpad is marked MRT 10-51, it has a Hart flashider, the telescope is a model M84 with a new eye piece( still have the old one), scope mount 's number does not match the receiver( most don't) The stock has a NFR cartouch which is correct for this rifle.
The light grey rifle is a very hard to find gun. This one went through the SA-52 rebuild program, later the Marines rebuilt or Overhauled it. Very few have been found with both marking on them. It is still plugged as it became a service rifle and no longer a sniper along the way with one of the rebuilds. This rifle's barrel ( same one that it left the CMP with) has a TE of 3 and MW of just under 1. SA 1952 dated barrel.
These were not luck of the draw mail in items, both came from the old CMP s .
I did have Mr. Dave McClain research the serial numbers and he provided letters to confirm the receivers are real and not faked. Of course he had reasured me before he even looked up the S/N because they came from the CMP. Still nice to have his cert rather than wonder if Bubba drilled the receiver.
I found a similar consecutive pair of M1-C snipers sold on the new CMP site with out accesseries that sold for $15,000.00 with no scope, scope mount, cheekpad or flashider.

I feel fair marked value for this pair of M1-Cs is between $12,500 and $15K. I believe I have priced them to sell.
