Description:
This German manufactured Cape Gun remains in very good overall condition. Built by C. Svendsen in Kiel Germany, not much other information is available although other guns are on the internet. Wood is solid and shows normal age marks for it's age with no cracks or splits. Metal has patinaed but remains good with only light oxidation in places. Damascus 16 Ga. bore is frosted, but rifle bore is very good with visible rifling. Rifle is not marked but measures .450" at the breach and .420" at the muzzle. Damascus barrel has a couple light dings. Please note modern ammo cannot be shot in a Damascus barrel. Gun locks up tight. Under lever barrel release, extractors, hammers and bone pistol grip add to the charm of this old gun. Fine checkering and engraving show the German craftsmanship. Beautiful old hammer gun! 16 Gauge
