Description:
Serial #98452, .32 RF, 3 1/2' barrel with a very good, lightly pitted bore. This is a very nice revolver that has matching assembly numbers on the frame, cylinder, and barrel (“V 8"). The metal retains 75-80% of the original blue finish, with plum-brown freckling throughout, as well as silvering along the high and exposed edges. Some original color case-hardening is present on the hammer and ejector rod, with smooth gray metal on the balance. The smooth, matching numbered rosewood grips are in very good plus condition with much of the original piano varnish remaining, and scattered minor handling marks and blemishes. The lock-up is tight, and the action is fully functional, however there is a small amount of lateral play in the barrel when closed. This is a handsome, 1 1/2 tip-up, and rates fine condition overall. Antique
