Description:
This is the highest grade 1883 we have seen. Extensively and beautifully engraved with double line shaded scroll and bird/dog scenes. Stock has a vacant silver oval, appears to be original but refinished as the checkering is sharper than the forend. 30" x 2 3/4" damascus barrels in very good original condition with lightly pitted good bores, no dents, R .734/.715 mod, L .733/705 imp mod. Excellent original screws, original buttplate and grip cap. LOP 14", drops 3 3/4" and 1 3/4", a tad of cast-off. A stout gun at just over 8lbs, possibly unique.
