COLT BANKERS SPECIAL 22 LONG RIFLE REVOLVER! The blue finish on this 1933 vintage Bankers Special 22 LR Revolver is absolutely flawless and as near perfect as can be found. The walnut stocks display some age. There is no burn evidence on the face of the cylinder nor on the recoil plate, indicating that the revolver, probably, has not been fired, since it left the Colt factory. Likewise, there is just a very slight - partial rotation line on the cylinder and a tiny dent in the left medallion. (Note; Any blemishes or imperfections reflected in the photos are due to Seller's poor camera work!)
Communications with Paul Szymaszek of Colt Archive Properties revealed that the subject Bankers Special revolver was made in 1933 and sat on the factory shelf for four years, before it was shipped The accompanying Colt factory letter confirms that the revolver was shipped in May, 1937 to Decker Brothers in Mason City, Iowa. The Colt factory letter will be provided, without additional cost, to the buyer.
