This double rifle has 28" barrels with excellent .50 caliber bores (for .500 Black Powder Express). The multi-groove, rifled bores are bright with light pinprick pitting. The barrel rib is 1/2" wide and is mounted with a 120-yard and 250-yard sight. The barrels show a Damascus brown finish that is starting to silver. The action shows a fine floral, English scroll engraving and a Jones underlever. The tangs, sidelocks and hammers show the same fine hand engraving. The action is sound and tight. The wood shows minor usage marks but remains in sound condition with matching engraving throughout. The wrist was broken at some point in time and has been expertly repaired, with only a faint line detected (see picture). The body of the hammers shows all of its original engraving. The LOP from the rear trigger is 14". A chamber cast is recommended prior to shooting this rifle. All items are also available for sale in our brick & mortar store and are subject to prior sale.
