Description:
Here is an interesting example of a Czech produced 98K Mauser, chambered in 8mm Mauser. It was produced by the Brno factory, and is a post-war example, which is quickly identified by the winter trigger guard, as they did not use that part during the German occupation. After the war, the Czechs continued to produce these rifles using German ordnance codes for export to rebuild their economy. This example was made for Ethiopia, as indicated by the "St. George" coin embedded on the right side of the butt-stock. You can also see two, Czech rampant lion proof marks. It is missing the cleaning rod and front sight hood. There is a discreet import mark under the barrel. 8mm Mauser
