This Winchester M-70 220 Swift was mfg abt 1950, Serial No. 205XXX . It is to me an all original unmolested
collector Grade example of a rare iconic piece of craftmanship that shows good maintaince and care. The
woodstock shows some normal thinning of the medium dark walnut finish. There are no cracks dents or scratches.
The checkering is very good in both the grip and forearm areas. The Bluing is abt 95-98% w/the correct "Diamond
Rear Flip Sight". There appears to have no evidence of any scope rings having been ever installed. The receiver
area is the same. The trigger guard & floorplate has some very light edge wear. The action is superb and tight.
The bore is shiney and has a very distinct rifling, the muzzle is excellent.
Overal considering it's age period I would rate it an an "NRA" Very Good to Excellent. These Model seventies
in this caliber are becoming very rare. This M70 220 "Swift" would to me appeal to the discerning Winchester Collector.
