Description:
Very pretty little 20ga Francotte boxlock gun of very high quality. These are by far the best quality guns for the money in the vintage gun world today. This gun, a dainty little gem made with point pattern checkered splinter forend with Anson type pushbutton release. Nicely scroll engraved cross bolt boxlock action is case hardened with makers name on sides with nicely stippled and engraved fences. Made with double triggers, auto ejectors, and safety. The capped pistol grip buttstock is on nicely figured European Walnut and terminates with its original checkered horn buttplate.
Overall, the gun remains in very nice original condition. The barrels retain more than 90% original blue with some handling marks and rubs, but nothing serious. The action retains about 35% light original case color, engraving is crisp. Stocks are sound and retain most of an older restored finish, never having been sanded, just finish added for preservation. Bores are bright and shiny and mechanics are fine.
This fine gun is priced at $4250 plus shipping to your FFL. When compared to some of the modern guns in the same price range (RBL, Ruger Gold Label etc) there is truly no comparison in quality, fit or finish. This gun is a bargain!
