The Winchester Model 88 was the ULTIMATE in a hunting rifle, combining the SPEED of a lever action and the ACCURACY of a bolt action. Add the .243 Winchester and you have one hell-of-an accurate rifle that will drop anything w/in 500 yards accurately with iron sights alone. Scope her up, and she'll push out to 1,000 yards without much difficulty. We have some experience with these 88's and they have seen a big resurgence in the past few years. We think it has to do with folks regretting selling that old 88 their Dad gave them and decided they want one back....something KTC totally supports! There is no plastic on these units.
