Description:
***   SOLD   ***   This is one of the best executed upgrades I have ever seen and with a somewhat unlikely candidate – a Parker Trojan 16 from the early years of its production. The case coloring and barrel bluing were professionally well done. The outstanding engraving was done by the late Jack Jones of Forest, VA. The result is a handsome and nice handling bird gun in 16 gauge with quick-on-the-target 26” barrels. Great for fast moving gamebirds like grouse, quail and woodcock. This Parker, number 169152, was manufactured in 1915 on the Number 1 frame. Auto safety and double triggers. Weighs just 6lb 6oz. Handsome and lethal this Parker is ready to do what it was designed to do --- scratching down gamebirds in America’s beautiful uplands.   ***   The quick handling 26” barrels are chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells and have extractors. The rib is inscribed “Parker Brothers. Makers. Meriden, Conn Trojan Steel”. The right barrel is bored 0.662 and has a constriction of 0.003 for Skeet choke. The left barrel is also bored 0.662 and has a constriction of 0.018 for Modified choke.   ***   The pistol grip stock and splinter forearm were restocked by Ferlach trained master gunmaker Gunter Pfrommer of Rocky Mount, VA in highly figured American walnut with a matte finish. The checkering is crisp. The forearm sports an ebony wedge. The pistol grip has its original factory pistol grip cap. Stock dimensions are 14-1/8” including a 3/4” recoil pad by 1-5/8” by 2”. Cast off for the righthanded shooter.   ***   I am an FFL and will need a signed copy of your dealer’s FFL license. The photographs are part of the description.
