Sauer & Son - Prussia: A Prussian Sauer Boxlock Ejector 12 Bore That Remains in Excellent Condition with 95% Original Case Colors on the Frame, Made about 1920, It has 28" Krupp Shoe Lump barrels with a Greener style rib extension cross bolt, The barrels at .734 .010 & .011" (Imp.Cyl. & Imp.Cyl.), 2 3/4" chambers, Wall thickness on the right barrel at .029" & the left at .027", Intercepting safety sears, 2 each locking screws on key screws, Double triggers, Splinter forend with a pull down Deeley & Edge type release, Open pistol grip stock at 14 1/2 x 1 5/8 x 2 5/8" over the original horn buttplate, Neutral stock for either the right or left hand, 6 lbs. 11 oz., 30% period engraving coverage with 2 game birds on the bottom on a case color hardened frame, Very nice wood with fiddleback, The barrels have original black & remain at 90%, 95% original bright and vivid case colors remain, The stock with the original oil finish & remains at 94%, The checkering is original and at 99%. The bores remain excellent totally free of pits and are bright & shiny. This piece was shot very little and went on few hunts as the standing breech face has 100% case colors. The nickel silver stock escutcheon is without initials. Every screw remains at 99% and are north & south including inside the forend. It remains in excellent mechanical condition. J. J. Perodeau, Gunmaker, just did a complete strip and clean. It has 2 dry checks back of the head of the stock and J. J. took care of any future problem.
