We offer you a “Very Nice” Remington Model 550-1 22 S. L. LR. Semi Automatic Rifle Made in November of 1955.
This model 550-1 has been sitting for decades. It has been cleaned up and in very fine condition. The metal is in excellent condition with very little signs of use. The stock is also in very fine condition with spots in the factory finish that are worn away. Not sure what caused this but they are shown in the pictures. The bore is in excellent condition and the rifle is all original and still retains the factory shell deflector. These came with the factory grooved receiver for scope use if wanted. The 550-1 is an interesting design and is capable of firing 22 short, long or long rifle ammunition reliably. The top of the barrel is marked “Remington Arms Co. Inc. Ilion, N.Y. Made In U.S.A. / Williams Patent Nos. 2,027,892 – 2,090,656-2,336,146” - “REMINGTON” -“MODEL 550-1 / .22S., L., or L.R.”, . The left side of the barrel is marked “RB 27”. The right side of the barrel is marked with a proof. Overall a very fine looking Remington tube fed .22 that would make a great gun for anyone.
This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $50. It will be shipped in a double walled foam lined cardboard box that we have manufactured for us so that your gun arrives safe.
