A great looking Winchester model 1873 leaver action rifle made in 1892. It has a 24-inch octagon barrel with a fair bore in the desired caliber of 32 wcf- “32-20”. Repair to forearm see pictures. 100% working condition with nice original wood showing only normal handling and dings for this old Winchester. Bore is fait to good with some pitting above the chamber. Great overall example of the famous model 1873 Winchester as described by many historians as “The Gun That Won the West”
The gentlemen who I purchased the rifle from stated that his father had purchased it used in the 1940's or 50's from a local gunsmith. I suspect the rifle was refinished at that time.
