Description:
This is a beauthful, complete (monopod, sling, dust cover, ramrod, etc.) and somewhat--but not too much, refinished example of the rifle as it was meant to be. IT HAS AN INTACT MUM! The numbered parts don't necessarily match so as far as that part of authentic, it isn't happening. The barrel is very good and it makes very nice groups at 50 yds (I can't see much further than this). It hits about .5 inches above dead centre which means it is dead on at 500 yds (good luck). I rust blued and smoothed the metal and the stock has been nicely refinished. It is smoooth. That does not mean all the dings were taken out that were caused by the U.S.Marines--- The Arisaka traing rifle which look very much like the real thing, was taken out by people that are actually allowed to vote and fired. Of course being made of iron rather than steel they blew up--hence the reputation. Well, the U S. Army decided to test them and against the Mauser, the Springfield, the Enfield, the Moisin, the MAS 36, the Wincheter, the Remingtonand the Carcano, it came out the absolute best--much stronger!  The  round will take out any game in North America except a head-on Grizzly. I don't want to encoursge this but the fact that the actionhis so strong might tempt somebody to load their cartridges a little heavy--and take out the grizzly after all. Ever sit on one mountain and take out moutain sheep on another mountain with iron sights? The ballistics are precisely the  British .303 and they're very close to the  American .308. Weaver makes a plate on which to mount a scope. (Use 8-40, not 6-48 screws) but you'll have to bend the bolt. Steinel. Hornady and a number of others make ammo and there are plenty of reloading cases and bullets (.311 ,same as the Brit .303 and the AK 7.39). If you need data for reloading I have it and will gladly share with you.

This rifle is beatiful. It will perform in the field or on the wall with distiction.
