This S&W 38 Double Action Second Model revolver features factory engraving, nickel plating, and mother of pearl grips. The 3.25"" round with rib 38 S&W centerfire barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The cylinder has the expected grooves encircling it along with the two sets of stop notches. The barrel has the late production 1865, 1869, 1871, 1879, and 1880 patent dates. This fine revolver retains approx. 98% of its nickel finish. The factory scroll-dot engraving covers both sides, the top of the latch assembly, and the frame top behind the hammer. The mother of pearl grips are excellent with no cracks or chips. The double action functions correctly. A soft leather pocket holster and a brown leather holster for belt attachment or shoulder straps are included. They are in good condition.
