Description:
Lever action rifle and carbine with consecutive serial numbers (49198/49199 respectively) sold as a set along with original boxes and box sleeves. Paperwork includes 1 warranty card, 2 warranty certificates, 2 commemorative certificates, 2 hangtag booklets, and 2 pamphlets that include specs and care instructions. Walnut stocks with Buffalo Bill medallions inset on right side, blued finish on 20-inch and 26-inch octagon barrels and receiver with silver butt plates, triggers, hammers, saddle rings and forend caps. Script engravings on barrels and tangs. Carbine and rifle lengths are 38 ¾ inches and 44 ½ inches, respectively. Overall, excellent condition for both. The rifle has some very minor rust freckling on the barrel around the word Winchester (see photos) and just behind the front site. Bores are bright, clean with excellent, well-defined rifling. Boxes are in good overall shape, the box sleeves are dog-eared at the ends with some tearing.
