Description:
This Colt Frontier Shooter is a 1st generation single action revolver manufactured in 1896 and chambered in .44-40. The blued 7 1/2" barrel has a shiny bore with strong rifling, "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG Co. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." stamped on the top, and "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" stamped on the left side. Patent dates are stamped on the left side of the color case hardened action with the circled Rampant Colt logo beside. Matching serials on the action, trigger guard, and frame butt. The action is tight and locks up firmly. Mother of Pearl grips are installed on the revolver with the original hard rubber grips included. Details of this original historical revolver are supported by the included Colt Office of the Colt Historian Letter dated March 30, 2022. We will accept C&R for this revolver.
