U.S. Model 1842 Harpers Ferry .69 caliber Mexican American War era musket. Metal has a dark grey patina. Wood shows heavy ""combat"" use! Lock plate is dated 1847. This makes it a great Mexican American War shoulder arm. Action functions correctly, little loose at full cock. To bad this musket can't talk.
