"Serial number 17396. 44 caliber with a 7 ½" barrel. This gun has a gray patina with pitting on the metal. The Barrel has a mismatched barrel and the butt strapped is unnumbered. Grips have been checkered. This gun comes with a form fitting flap leather holster. This gun comes with a letter from Antique Road Show Appraiser Rafael Eledge where he makes a convincing argument that this gun was a Confederate used and altered gun and the holster is confederate made. This gun was found in North Carolina and formerly in the Hank Williams Jr Collection!
