*** SOLD *** Handsome Hussey Ltd 12 bore sidelock ejector gun with fabulous wood and lots of residual case coloring and in high condition. No. 14410 was made 1903 – 04. The engraving is particularly attractive and is sharp. Presented in a new leather case with maker’s label and full accessories and a fitted with an outer cordura cover. *** The 28” steel barrels are chambered for 2-1/2” shotshells and are London nitro proofed for 1-1/8 oz loads. The are topped by a raised solid concave gamestyle rib. The rib is inscribed “Hussey Ltd. 81 New Bond Street London”. The right barrel is bored 0.731 with a constriction of 0.003 for Skeet choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.027. The left barrel is bored 0.735 and has a constriction of 0.016 for Light Modified choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.025. The bores are shiny and bright. The barrel bluing is in great condition but there is a scratch on the outside of the chamber area on the right barrel( see last photo). *** The replacement stock and forearm are crafted from highly figured European walnut with a beautiful, warm hand rubbed oil finish. The checkering is crisp. Stock dimensions are 15” to a checkered butt by 1-3/8” by 2-1/4”. Cast off for the righthand shot. *** Great looking and great handling. Beautifully cased. Husseys is known for the very high quality of their doubles. A lot of gun for the money. *** Please note that the photographs are part of the description.
