Description:
Serial #9391, .38 S&W, 4 1/2" octagon barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some traces of mild freckling within the grooves. This is a handsome little revolver that has retained about 95-97% of the original nickel finish with scattered small handling marks and blemishes scattered throughout, and fairly bright original color case-hardening on the trigger and hammer. The left side of the frame has a rather nicely rendered engraved vignette depicting a frontiersman in a raccoon cap riding a horse. Additionally, the front sight blade is a replacement, fashioned from a copper coin. The checkered wood “H&A" grips are in fine shape with mild wear and flattening. The lock-up is good, with some lateral play in the barrel, and the action is fully functional. This is a fine little, embellished Hopkins & Allen pocket revolver overall. FFL or C&R
