Here is an interesting item. A wooden Winchester Cartridge Box.
It appears that someone at one point in time took a Winchester
Wooden shotshell crate and cut it down to make it into a metallic
Cartridge box. They drilled holes on top for a handle which is
no longer present. They added hinges to the box. They cut the
wood to a size that allowed them to place cartridge cardboard inserts
into the wood box. The size was made to hold 100 metallic cartridges.
Included are (60) .30-30 Remington cartridges and (40) .35 Remington
cartridges.
