Description:
Here is a classic rifle that you can enjoy and pass on to your next generation. I have preserved the heck out of this gun.
1. Bore is still bright and shiny.
2. Wood is 98% perfect. Just one tiny indentation near the end of the stock. See second-to-last photo. The wood grain on this gun is outstanding. This is the type of walnut you would expect to see on a very fine shotgun or custom rifle.
3. Trim is excellent- about 95%. Just a couple of chips on black finish at the bottom of the grip. See last photo.
4. Jeweled bolt.
5. Very very accurate. I shoot one inch groups with it at 100 yards.
6. Only about 100 rounds shot with it. Tons of life left.
7. The .270 caliber is very underrated. It shoots very flat, and is very lethal. If you Google .270 ballistics, you can see how well it holds up to .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor.
8. I have cleaned this gun meticulously after every use. It has never been dropped or banged up.
I predict the value of these guns will continue to rise - they are just not producing great guns in high grade walnut stock and classic design any longer, unless you want to pay $3,500 or more with a boutique gun maker.
Note: The first photo is taken with the scope off. I did this so you could see the gun in an unobstructed view. The rest of the shots are taken with my Swaravski scope mounted on the gun. The gun is being sold without the scope.
