Description:
This rifle is a Weatherby Mark V .300 W.M. It has a 26" barrel. The stock is the fancy grade walnut. It has a rosewood forend and rosewood grip cap with diamond inlay. It comes with the one-piece Redfield base and rings. The rifle was purchased new around 1985. I can not find any blemishes on the metal anywhere. The stock has a few extremely minor handling marks. Included is the 1985 Weatherby Catalog and Instructional Manual. I know this sounds like a made-up story, but the rifle has been only fired three times. Soon after purchase it was taken on a bear hunt and was shot twice when arriving at camp to be sure it was still sighted in. The next day it was shot once to kill a bear. It has not been shot since that time. From what I can find out this particular model and serial number range was produced in Howa, Japan from 1984-1986.
