South Carolina marked Model 1816 E. Whitney musket that has been converted to percussion. Lock plate is marked ""SC"" over ""E.WHITNEY"" with ""New Haven"" over ""1834"" behind the hammer. Metal has a dark grey patina. Stock shows wood loss at the barrel tang, otherwise in good overall condition. Side plate is also marked ""So Carolina"". Handsome cartouche is visible
