U.S. Model 1840 ""wristbreaker"" cavalry sword by Ames in overall good condition. Scabbard is a dark grey patina with a few dents noted. Ricasso is marked Ames Mfg Co. Caboytville 1851 opposite side is marked US over A.D.K. Blade has scattered oxidation visible throughout. Leather is fair with most of wire wrap missing.
