U.S. Model 1860 cavalry sword by Mansfield & Lamb, dated 1864. Stamps on the ricasso's are ""Mansfield & Lamb"" with the opposite side having ""US"" over ""J.C.W. 1864"". Scabbard is a smooth grey patina with some dings. Hilt is very dark with black leather being wrapped with twisted wire. Overall length is 43"", blade is 35"" long with scattered pitting noted.
