Model 1840 ""wristbreaker"" saber that has been cleaned at some point. Only stamp visible is US over 1847. Blade is a grey patina with scattered oxidation. Scabbard is a dark brown patina and dent free. Leather and original wire wrap is fair. Good looking example of a Mexican-American War era sword.
