Description:
Smith & Wesson Second Model Hand Ejector. This has a 6 1/2" barrel marked Smith & Wesson on the left side and 44 S&W Special CTG on the right, Smith & Wesson Springfield Mass, USA Patented Dec 17 1901 Feb 8 1908, Sep 14 1909 on top. The nickel finish is in good condition with clear markings, gun does not look to have been polished, frame is marked with S&W Trademark on the left and Made In USA on the right side. Cylinder has drag marks from being cycled. The grips are in good condition with chequering sharp, no cracks, original finish. This pistol has the heat treated cylinder and the early style extractor rod, 5 screw. based on what I read, built about 1920. I am not especially knowledgeable on S&W revolvers.
