Hammerless Sidelocks - Completed in 1926 this Purdey 16g is a very rare find. I keep track of British 16g. shotguns as they are my passion (I currently only have two I hunt with, A William Evans sidelock and a James Woodward sidelock). In jolly old England 16g. has always been a bit of an odd duck with 12g. the most used in the last 100 years and then 20g. after that. For this reason they just did not build that many.
This example from Purdey has a lot to offer with 28" steel barrels in great condition with good wall thickness and choking. The weight is right where it should be to make an extremely well balanced shotgun. The stock dimensions are perfect for many.
