This is a factory engraved Remington New Model Police revolver from just after the Civil War. Barrel is 4.5in long and chambered for .38 rimfire. The condition is fair and there's notable pitting/wear/corrosion on the cylinder. But the engraving work is very crisp still and is well done. Action/timing seem pretty good. Bore has pronounced rifling but notable frost and pitting as you'd expect based off the external appearance. Handling wear and dings on the grips but no cracks or chips.
