Winchester model 1892 rifle, .38-40. This is an “Antique” made in 1895 and it is very good shootable condition. 24” octagon barrel. Crescent steel butt plate.
The model 1892 was John Browning’s “modern” version of the 1873 in that these rifles were designed to shoot the same cartridges as your Colt SAA! The 92 has a very smooth action and is much more compact that the ‘73.
This rifle is in decent cosmetic condition for being 127 years old! The bore has good rifling, but it is fairly dark.
Great caliber and a really good example of a classic “cowboy” lever action.
