Description:
#3863 Starr Arms Model 1858 Army D/A revolver, 44caliber percussion with VG+ bore (7-8) and strong tight action and working well on both single and double action modes. Overall just a thin plum-blue brown mixing with grey brown over most of the surface; minimal pitting considering this old veterans usage and age. Good markings and very good grips with just the minor nicks and chips of a 150+ year life, but no cartouches remain. And…in spite of the fact that Clint Eastwood couldn’t hit the side of a barn in the beginning of the movie, “Unforgiven” with his Starr Double Action….the Starr revolvers were said to be more accurate than the Colt 1860 Army. VG+ as described. $1350
