U.S.N. Civil War Military Navy Issued Model 1861 Ames Dahlgren Bowie Bayonet In Excellent Plus Condition. This Bowie/Bayonet is all original and complete and is dated 1864. The Bowie Bayonet has an excellent plus blade with excellent markings. It is marked on one side of the ricasso, "AMES, MFG CO/CHICOPEE/ MASS." and "U.S.N./D.R./1864" on the other. The blade is bright and crisp throughout. It has not been polished. The brass guard and wood grip are also in excellent condition. There is a clear "DR" Inspectors cartouche on the top of the grip into the brass. The scabbard is excellent plus throughout which includes the leather body and untouched brass top mount and drag. The bayonet operates perfectly. This is a very high condition example of A U.S.N. Issued Civil War Model 1861 Ames Dahlgren Bowie Bayonet!
